I keep this simple, like the rest of my work. This page explains what personal data I process when you visit this site or contact me, and why.

Who is responsible

Andrien Robotics (sole proprietorship, KvK 95340661) is the data controller. That's me, Alex Andriën. For anything related to your data, email alex@andrienrobotics.com.

What I process, and why

When you email me or book a call I receive your name, email address, and whatever you write or tell me. I use it to respond, prepare for the call, and follow up. Legal basis: legitimate interest (responding to your request) and, where we move toward a contract, the performance of that contract.

When we work together I process the contact and business details needed to run the engagement and to invoice: name, role, company, email, phone, and project information. Legal basis: performance of the contract, and legal obligations (Dutch tax law requires me to keep invoices and related records for 7 years).

When you visit this website The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes technical data such as your IP address in server logs to deliver the site securely. I use Vercel Web Analytics to see anonymous, aggregated visitor statistics (page views, country, device type). It works without cookies and without tracking you across sites: identifiers are generated from incoming requests, kept only briefly, and cannot be linked back to you by me. Booking runs through Cal.com; when you book, Cal.com processes the details you enter to schedule the call.

Who else sees your data

I don't sell or trade personal data. I use a small number of service providers (processors) to run this business:

  • Vercel: website hosting
  • Namecheap (Private Email) and Google (Gmail): email
  • Cal.com: call scheduling

These providers process data on my behalf under their own GDPR-compliant terms. Some may process data outside the EU under appropriate safeguards (such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).

How long I keep it

  • Enquiries that don't lead to work: up to 1 year, then deleted.
  • Invoices and administration: 7 years, as Dutch tax law requires.
  • Client contact details and project records: up to 10 years after an engagement ends. I keep these to pick up where we left off if you come back, and to be able to reconstruct what was done and why if questions or claims about the work ever come up.

Your rights

Under the GDPR (AVG) you can ask me to access, correct, delete, or hand over your data, and you can object to or restrict processing. Email alex@andrienrobotics.com and I'll respond within a month. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

Changes

If the way I handle data changes, this page changes with it. The date at the top tells you when.
